Well, when talking about criminals act, somehow it peaks our interest up. The were some cases by some notorious criminal that until this day, their cases haven't been solve. And some productions even filming some of the cases, perhaps to delve themselves inside it, and somehow wanting to know the answer.

1) Jack The Ripper

Jack the Ripper was one of the notorious serial killer in the year 1888 in the Whitechapel area in London. The name was earned when someone write a letter, telling that his name is Jack the Ripper claiming to be the serial killer. But nobody can verify the truth behind that letter. Jack the Ripper also was known as Leather Apron, or Whitechapel Murderer.

5 women fall victim, Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes and Mary Jane Kelly. Their throat being slashed open and the hideous trademark of Jack the Ripper is by taking out the internal organ. The investigators claimed that Jack the Ripper must possessed some knowledge in surgical. The suspects mostly had their own alibis making it harder to find the true culprit behind the murders.

The case also being adapted into movies, and somehow anime too. In detective Conan, the character Jack the Ripper and Sherlock Holmes had been portrayed in the movie The Phantom of Baker Street.

2) The Zodiac Killings

"I like killing people because it is so much fun." is the quote by the Zodiac, a serial killer.
It terrorizes Bay Area residents with the killings in 1969. It was all started when a couple was shot to death while sitting together inside a car. It happened in December 1968. The the next 10 months, the killer strike more by shooting a couple in a public park. The stabbing another couple near a peaceful lake and shooting a cabdriver.
The trademark of Zodiac this time, was that he likes to send coded-letters to newspapers. Mainly because he likes the idea of toying with the police and reporters. He also had a symbol, a cross within a circle. The investigations didn't succeeded to find the true proprietor in this case.
The case also was adapted by David Fincher to make  a film regarding the Zodiac.

3) The Case of the Disembodied Feet

In August 2007, five human feet, four left and one right had been found washed ashore near Vancouver, British Columbia. All the feet was still clad in sneakers. One of the feet matched the DNA test with a missing man. The man had been missing for several months.
A lot of theories were made, including foul play. That is to say because they believed that the ocean current and decomposition have naturally separated the feet from the owners. Others speculate the remains might belong to four unrecoverable victims of a 2005 plane crash off Quadra Island. But some also believed that it must be murder, since you can't  find feet just anywhere.
The most recent discovery was made in November, when another foot turned up in Washington, less than 50 miles south of the U.S.-Canadian border. The case still remain unsolved.
